Team Dog Trainers

A dog’s obedience can only match the owner’s expectations. And many times, the owner hasn’t
or doesn’t know how to set those expectations. As Dog Obedience Trainers, we help you set
those expectations and show you how to communicate them with your dog.

Neil
Training Manager

Neil has had dogs his entire adult life, but after watching a K9 decoy/helper work a dog, he found his passion. He was fascinated by the capabilities of working dogs and began to learn the art of decoy work, handling dogs, training dogs, and attending varying seminars including apprehension and detection work. His passion was working dogs for sport, police, or military dogs. He loved the problem-solving and behavior modification aspect of training. Circa 2019 he crossed paths with Mike Ritland and soon became the Kennel Master for the Warrior Dog Foundation. Here he gained invaluable experience rehabilitating very difficult dogs using the Team Dog Training Methods. This experience led Neil to become the training manager for Team Dog Actual, a service to dog owners looking for in-person training.

In addition, Neil became the Kennel Master for the Warrior Dog Foundation where he gained invaluable experience rehabilitating some very difficult/dangerous dogs using the Team Dog Training Program.

Hayley
Trainer

Hayley was introduced to dogs at a young age when working for a family friend’s veterinary clinic. Between working for the clinic and showing horses, Hayley was immersed in animals. As a teenager, Hayley worked in kennels and had a passion for rehabilitating anxious, fearful, and/or aggressive dogs. After completing several internships for dog training, she made training dogs her full-time commitment. Hayley has been an active competitor in the working dog sport “Protection Sports Association” and is highly versed in obedience training, behavior modification, and rehabilitation. Hayley is now proficient in Mike’s Team Dog Methods and is committed to passing on her knowledge to those dog owners in need.

Nikki
Trainer

Nikki has been training animals since a young age. Although she didn’t start with dogs, her start came in the form of performance horses. She was a competitive barrel racer for many years, but life introduced her to working dogs. Since that moment, her drive evolved her into a highly skilled trainer and competitor in the working dog sport “Protection Sports Association.” Through clear communication, Nikki produced competition-level obedience with these high drive dogs. Her arsenal of training tools led her to train pet dogs and behavior modification. Now fluent in the Team Dog Methods, Nikki is able to help people create a better relationship and understanding of their dog.

Hybrid Training Programs

One of the best and most customized selections from our training programs is the hybrid program. The reason is, it is a combination of the in home and board and train program. The hybrid program is designed to fit your specific training goals and provide you with the best results.

Using the Team Dog Actual training method, our trainers are able to establish a baseline for training your dog and modifying the identified inappropriate behaviors. After the board and train program is done, we then provide in home training with you AND your dog. The first session is when we bring your dog back from the board program and do a joint home lesson together.

The purpose of the hybrid program is to empower both you and your dog to continue to learn and implement the education received during the board and train program at your house. Giving you too much information at once could be overwhelming and daunting. So, we created an option that allows us to transition your dog back into the home environment with the specialized assistance of one of our trainers.
